The gift that keeps on giving

Sunday, December 26, 2004

Ah, there's nothing like having family stay with you over the holidays. Especially when you feel like crap.
'Tis better to give than receive, and I wholeheartedly agree -- especially when the receiving part refers to some kind of stomach virus. Since Thursday, I've been sick on and off, and it just made everything so much nicer -- that's sarcasm -- when my family arrived.
I tend to appreciate quiet and solitude when I'm sick, and my house has been almost unbearably loud for the last 3 days. On top of that, I'm sleeping in my office on the futon, which just throws a wrench in my routine.
Come Tuesday, I'll be alone again, reveling in the quiet for a little while until it dawns on me that -- hey -- I'm alone.
