Lynne Thigpen, the 54-year old actress, was found dead in her home on Wednesday. Thigpen was a versatile actor who I enjoyed listening to – she had a great voice filled with character. (Chances are you’ve heard her voice on an audiobook.) She appeared in a wide range of stage, movie, and television projects, such as “Where In The World is Carmen SanDiego?” and “The District”, and won a Tony award in 1997. She was not what most people would call a “star” or a “celebrity” – but she was an excellent actress, and whenever I saw her, I stopped to watch.
