In only 2 weeks, my little tagline “the blue county in the red state” will be no more. What clever moniker will I apply to San Jose, California? Any ideas? Send ’em in. I might even come up with a fabulous prize!

This one’s on me
This morning, while waiting in the basement for the elevator, I came up with an idea. I’m not gonna patent it, I’ll just put it out there for the whole world and let someone make a million off of it. While [more...]

Ok so it’s a little long, but here’s the first thing that popped into my head.
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright, bright, Sun-Shiny day
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been pray’in for
It’s gonna be a bright, bright Sun-Shiny day
Look all around, there’s noth’in but blue skies
Look straight ahead, noth’in but blue skies
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright, bright, Sun-Shiny day
How about Just As I Thought: The Smart One in the Family.
I’m so bad at this.
I don’t have a moniker yet, but I do have a song:
“Do you know the gays in San Jose?”
Oh, man. I’m worse at this than mac.
I’ll keep trying.

San Jose, the land that gains you fabulous prizes.
Hahahaha!!! I love all of these, especially Kat’s “Do You Know The Gays” — but the best fit for the little “From Beautiful San Jose” tagline is Kirk’s. (Is it nepotism to pick my cousin’s contribution? Perhaps as penance, I’ll post the photo of me, my brother, Kirk, and my other cousin Eric from 1979, posed in San Jose outside my grandparent’s house. Laughs a plenty!)
